In 2016, the year Gaia Repossi was born, Repossi opened their third boutique in one of the most prestigious locations in the world of high-end jewelry – 6 Place Vendôme in Paris. This location quickly became a crucial asset for Repossi in their quest for international fame. But it was only in 2016 that Gaia Repossi decided to completely redesign the concept of the store and transform it into a unique masterpiece in the world of high-end jewelry. For this ambitious undertaking, she relied on the creative minds of Rem Koolhaas and the renowned OMA company.
Genesis, in collaboration with Dijk Glas and Sabine Marcelis, was challenged to develop a material that had never been seen before – a true innovation in the industry. The result was stunning: they chose Alusion (aluminum foam) which was filled with white resin (Liquid Gloss® with) and then polished with diamond discs until it formed a material we now know as “aluminum terrazzo.”
This masterpiece of architecture and design is not just a store, but a work of art in itself, defying the conventional norms of the jewelry industry, just as Repossi’s jewelry does. The design reflects Gaia Repossi’s visionary approach to her work and has transformed the 6 Place Vendôme boutique into a stunning showcase for her beautiful creations.
